A Prayer for the Church

"May God grant you, today and every day that is to come:

-- a love that burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame;

-- the love which many waters cannot quench, and mighty rivers cannot wash away;

-- the love which lasts longer than life, and is stronger than death,

-- and is worth more than all the wealth in the world.

I pray this prayer for you today from an excerpt from "How to Turn a Toast Into A Prayer," by Bob Hostetler, posted in How to Pray, August 18, 2016. Guideposts.org.

Hostetler wrote this prayer to offer as a wedding toast, but what a beautiful prayer for the church, the Bride of Christ. I will pray this prayer for you every day. May you know the fullness of His love.
