What is your purpose in life? What is your calling? Mine is to encourage. Got a boo-boo? Come here. Let me kiss it. Worn out and weary? Let me make you a cup of tea. We’ll sit awhile and you can tell me all about it. We can talk or not talk. It’s the being together, the sitting that is most important. Come on over, text or message me. I’m here.
So about a year and a half ago, I was galloping through life and got bucked off my horse. That’s happened before. Normally I would be able to get back up quickly and resume the ride, but this time, I hit the ground hard. And for about a year and a half, I sat here. I’ve been trying to get back up in the saddle, to be productive again. After several recent daily attempts, with a lot of frustrating discouragement, this morning I prayed, “Lord, what would you have me do?” I turned in my chair and saw the framed art of my granddaughter Kathryn and got an immediate answer; it was here all along. The center piece says “Just be who God made you to be.” Okay. Wow. That takes the pressure off.
So Constant Comment or Chamomile? Would you like a piece of banana bread with that? What’s going on in your life? Tell me. We’ve got this. (Thanks, Kat.)
