Seven of us were at Bible study this week
. A woman recently widowed has been applying for jobs and has been trying to get together enough money to pay rent this month. She had part of it. The job she had been waiting for for five weeks had a few more hoops for her to jump through, and her rent is due on Friday.
One woman said, “I feel like the Lord wants me to give you $200. The rest of the women can make up the other $35.” Another woman said, “I brought you a card with $150 in it that I planned to give you after class, but I’ll also write you a check for the rest of the rent.” Then another woman said, “I feel like the Lord is telling me to give you $500, but you’ll have to follow me to the bank after class.” And as unbelievable as it is, we just went on with Bible study as if this was just normal procedure. Maybe we were all in shock how God moved so quickly to provide the need over and above for this dear one. No one shouted THANK YOU, JESUS, at the time. My apologies to our group and to God since I was the group leader, but I am overwhelmed to witness God’s goodness. Thank You, Jesus.
